CAR KIT LIST

Any driver knows anything can happen on the road so here i will list a couple of simple kit lists to help you prepare for what may lie ahead.

NORMAL EVERYDAY KIT

• 1l Screen-wash
• Tow rope
• Jack
• Wheel brace
• Foot-pump
• Hi Viz Jacket
• Multitool
• Warning Triangle
• First Aid Kit
• Small towel
• WD40
• Water for drinking
• Snack bars
• Canned food x 2 (easy to eat when cold types e.g rice pudding, custard)
• Glass Hammer/Seatbelt Cutter (in front of car for ease of access)
• Tyreweld x 2
• Local Map (Vacuum Packed)
• Country map (Vacuum Packed)
• AA glovebox atlas (Vacuum Packed)
• Compass
• Whistle
• Notepad
• Pen
• Matches
• Mylar blanket x 2
• Warm Hat (vacuum packed)
• De-Icer
• Ice scraper
• Water Bottle (inside has a Knife, 4 x wetfire tinder, ferro rod, water purification tabs, p-38 can opener, sharpie pen)
• Clear tape
• Small Shovel (trench tool type)
• Jumpleads
• Torch (with s.o.s and strobe functions)
• Cable ties
• Gloves
• Tyre Guage
• Spanner
• Poncho (Lightweight disposable type)
• Chem Light x 2
• S.O.S Banner
• Waterproof Jacket (Bright colour and Vacuum packed)
• Fleece jumper (vacuum packed)

These are what i would consider the MINIMUM items to carry

IN COLD WEATHER ADD

• Wool/Fleece blankets
• Hexi Stove
• Tin of food to heat up on stove eg chilli
• Small pot (example BCB crusader or steel mug)
• Spare Jacket (there may be passengers in car)
• Jerry can with £5 min spare fuel
• Ice Scraper (spare)
• Can de-icer

Vacuum packing certain items is great for saving space and pro longing the life of items such as maps, in the cold condensation may affect clothing or blankets stored so sealing these items up helps with that also.

This list can easily be adapted in order to adapt to individual needs, its always better to have and not need than need and not have.
